SDSL technology is equivalent to leased line technology in that you get the same upload and download speed.
SDSL is an “Always On” connection and is designed to give users permanent Internet access at a fraction of the cost of a leased line. To offset this cost, the Telecom providers quote a contention ratio of up to 20:1. This means that there could be up to 20 users or companies using the same link at any one time.
However, at 2Mb speeds, this is unlikely to cause any significant degradation of access speed to your server.
The SDSL 2Mb connection will give you upload and download speeds 2000K. (The maximum ISDN2 speed is currently 128K; the maximum analog modem speed is 56K and you are currently accessing your server at 512K). SDSL will give you speeds of up to 25 times the speed of an ISDN 64K connection and in most cases, works out considerably cheaper than ISDN dial up or lease line access
